Unbendt Unblended Straight Rye Bottled-in-Bond Whiskey Review
Nose
The nose exudes notes of pine, fresh dill, dill pickle potato chips, white peppercorn, faint oak, hay, raw oats, and an intriguing herbal twist.
Palate
On the palate, gentle rye spice, white peppercorn, fruit-filled oatmeal bake, and a slightly vegetative finish combine under a pleasant underlying creaminess.
Finish
The finish oozes with vanilla powder and buttery oak notes, with gentle rye spice, green peppercorn spice, and a smooth, creamy and spice-filled finish.
Overall
Bendt Distilling Co. may be a small Texas distillery, but they’re producing noteworthy bottled in bond whiskeys that reward those who can get their hands on them. Unbendt Unblended Straight Rye Bottled-In-Bond is one of the most intriguing ryes I’ve tasted in 2023. Opening with pine and dill scents blended with faint honey and hay, the nose sets the stage that this is not a traditional rye. Gentle spices and a fruit-filled oatmeal bake prop up the midpoint and are cloaked with a slight creaminess that you don’t typically associate with rye whiskey. Ending on notes of buttery oak and mixed spices, the rye slowly fades away riding a wave or spice and cream filled notes. This isn’t your standard rye profile by any means, instead, Unbendt Unblended Straight Rye Bottled-In-Bond delivers a whiskey that will redefine what you envision when you think about rye whiskeys. My only complaint is that this is sold only in Texas, as more whiskey drinkers need a chance to be exposed to this rye.

It is best to check the OFT website http://www.oft.gov.uk for both rental and sales analyses but past numbers have shown that between 25% (BR1) & 50% (BR2) of house sales in Bromley are now to buyers local to Bromley, whilst the majority of purchasers already live within the BR postcodes. Past research has also shown the importance of local to national/state school catchment areas, reputable prep/local schools, family and friends, as being the most important in a buyers decision making, which fits exactly in with our past marketing and analysis over recent years.
As you will be aware we normally rate schools on an A-F rating (next to school name where there is date as to when research took place) to give you a snapshot of performance which could be very different to how a school has performed over the past 5 years. However, and as a seller we would expect you to make your own further enquiries if this is important to you (we can provide you with OFTs website and MPs register of interests website charges). We would also point out that the official Ofsted so called parent statement are not really a true reflection as they only contain a maximum of 6 replies per year, per school, per questionnaire which is extremely low. Notwithstanding these general remarks we note, without prejudice two well purpose flats have stated:
The shops sell everything from groceries to clothing and electrical goods, it’s such a hassle coming into Bromley (large Tesco, new and expanding Sainsbury and National Rail accessed Tram link link to both East and West Croydon and Elmers End, Beckenham, Swanley etc).
Also yeah the park its close by, as well as open fields at the end of our road. But generally there’s everything we need right on the door step, except indoor leisure facilities, but these we have two local closer alternatives to Bromley High St Pavillion.
