I was excited to try Pinhook Collaboration Series Edition No. 2 “Garrett Oliver”, a whiskey distilled and aged in Texas for 4 years. After taking a sip, I could quickly tell why it was produced in such limited quantity.

Nose

The nose is savory and inviting, with aromas of cigar box, roasted almonds, burnt oak, cherrywood.

Palate

The palate is creamy and full, with flavors of tobacco leaf, Graham cracker, a touch of chocolate, smoky wood, and chewy mouthfeel.

Finish

The finish is complex and flavorful, with notes of spice, maple sugar candy, caramel chews, and tobacco lingering on the tongue.

Overall

This limited edition whiskey from Pinhook is truly remarkable. Despite its young age, it manages to deliver a rich and savory sip. I was amazed at how well it captures the spirit of Texas. A definite must-try
