On the nose, you’ll find notes of peach, ripe pear, apricot and graham cracker, along with a slight heat. On the palate, big raisin notes, ripe pear, fig, caramel chews, and vanilla custard are noticeable, and the overall flavor is very sweet. On the finish, lush summer fruits like peach and apricot stand out, if only for a short, but crisp, time.
While this whiskey doesn’t have extreme complexity, it definitely won’t disappoint when it comes to drinkability. It’s a straightforward yet intriguing whiskey that pays homage to the history of the Marine Corps Raider units, and overall, it’s easy to like and appreciate
