Overview

A light and approachable Tennessee sourced whiskey that needs more time to develop.

Log Hill Distillery, located east of New Haven, Kentucky, produces the Rattle & Snap Tennessee Straight Whiskey. This handmade whiskey is sourced from Tennessee and provides a light and pleasant aroma. The Note Tahoe Whiskey opens with a strong scent of Bazooka Bubble Gum, apricot, peach, and vanilla. Moving on from the nose, the palate features white grape, passion fruit, hay, and a herbal undertone. The finish is faint with notes of oak, toast, and clove; aftertaste is dry. Even though the flavors are there, they are a bit underdeveloped for me. Nevertheless, the whiskey is approachable and does evoke a sense of nostalgia.
