Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye: Worth the Buzz

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye was originally released as a limited edition in 2020, but is now continuing on as a permanent line extension. This high-proof experience is bound to please Jack Daniel’s fans with its bold, plentiful heat.

Nose

The nose on this whiskey is all about the boldness, with black pepper, rye, raisin, and burnt oak offering plenty of heat to savor.

Palate

Continuing with a rush of spice, the palate consists of black pepper, rye, cinnamon, baking spices, butterscotch, caramel, and a rich finish. The heat persists throughout for a complex experience.

Finish

The finish is light, with baking spices and cinnamon continuing the prominent spice. Butterscotch and caramel remain present as well, with leather and cigar box flavors adding to the body. The finish is long and spicy.

Overall

A new ongoing release Jack Daniel’s fans are sure to be excited about. Its high proof point makes for an exceptionally bold experience, and the flavor range between barrels is broad and exciting. Hopeful that this will become available at its MSRP of $60 with more accessibility that were accustomed to from Jack Daniel’s. An enjoyable release, and one that every Jack Daniel’s fan who enjoys high-proof pours should be excited about
