Very Olde St. Nick Immaculata Ancient Cask Bourbon

The Nose

The aroma of this bourbon is surprisingly pleasant. It starts off with a pleasant mix of cherry, raspberry, cranberry and mature oak, followed by notes of nutmeg and leather. The scent is nicely layered and balanced.

The Palate

The taste of this bourbon is robust and balanced. It starts off with a pleasant cherrywood smokiness that doesn’t overpower the other flavors. Notes of seasoned oak and dark currants soon follow, followed by a hint of cacao nibs and leather. It finishes with a pleasant sandalwood and clove accents, before ending with a lingering mature oak and cherry wood aftertaste.

The Uniqueness

What makes this bourbon so unique is that it doesn’t make the biggest impression at first sip. It’s heavily oaked and dry, but as it opens up, the complexity and maturity of this spirit become more and more evident. It’s a well-rounded and balanced bourbon that stands out in the crowd.

Value

For the price, this bourbon offers great value. It’s not the most expensive bourbon available, but it offers exceptional quality and complexity that you won’t find in other bourbons.

Overall

Very Olde St. Nick Immaculata Ancient Cask Bourbon is an interesting and unique bourbon with a depth and maturity that sets it apart from other offerings. It’s well balanced and offers great value for the price. Highly recommended
