This 99% corn whiskey from the World Whiskey Society Couture Collection stands out with its robust and complex flavors. On the nose, it contains hints of caramel, vanilla, dark raspberry, plum, and mixed berry that come together to create an exquisite aroma.
On the palate, there is a delightful cocoa flavor accompanied by raspberry, cherry, and creamy vanilla, balanced nicely with oak tannins. It finishes with a lingering spicy oak, light tannins, and a mildy dryness.
This is a truly unique whiskey that combines the intensity of a high-corn bourbon with a distinct sherry finish. Despite the high level of complexity, the flavors all work together perfectly to create a delicious and delightful sip. The only downside is the finish, which is slightly one-dimensional.
All-in-all, this is an excellent whiskey and a great example of how a high corn whiskey can take a finishing barrel and create something special. We highly recommend it and suggest it for any whiskey enthusiast
