Our exemplary leader’s journey starts as an elementary school principal in rural Kentucky. Back then, his approach was standoutish—visibly different from the conventional school leadership models. He believed, above all else, in connecting on a personal level with students and creating an educational environment that catered to the unique needs and potential of each individual child. He enjoyed walking through the halls of the school, exchanging greetings and sharing memorable moments with children who saw in him not just a principal but a mentor and a friend.
