Buffalo Trace Distillery and UK Healthcare Join Forces to Launch Mentorship Program
The Buffalo Trace Distillery, along with UK Healthcare, have partnered to form Fathers of Frankfort – a mentorship and philanthropic program designed to benefit the youth in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The mission of Fathers of Frankfort is to support local youth who might not otherwise have access to some of the life-enriching services available to their peers. This includes providing resources such as mentors, educational resources, job training, and more.
Mission and Objectives
The mission of Fathers of Frankfort is to invest in our young people and provide invaluable mentorship opportunity. Through this, they will develop leadership and entrepreneurship skills to help them become well-rounded and empowered citizens in Frankfort, Kentucky and beyond.
The program aims to give young people access to valuable opportunities that could help change their lives and improve their communities. Fathers of Frankfort is committed to providing each youth with the individual support and skillset necessary to help them reach their full potential.
History of the Partnership
The Buffalo Trace Distillery and UK Healthcare have been collaborating to form the Fathers of Frankfort program since 2019. Since then, they have been working together to ensure the program is a success and that the youth of Frankfort will benefit greatly from the mentorship opportunities the program provides.
The two organizations have been working closely with the Mayor of Frankfort, as well as the Frankfort Police Department, to ensure that the program is within the guidelines of the community.
What the Program Provides
The program provides its participants with a variety of life-enrichment activities, including but not limited to academic and career mentoring, career exploration, job shadowing, community service opportunities, and more.
Fathers of Frankfort also provides numerous access-to-funding and resource opportunities, such as grants and scholarships, for those interested in pursuing higher education.
The Impact So Far
Since the program’s launch, the Fathers of Frankfort have had a positive impact on the youth of Frankfort. Over 10,000 youth have participated in the program and received mentorship and guidance which they may not have had access to otherwise.
Furthermore, the program has connected youth with local business professionals and community leaders to help them explore new and inspiring career paths.
Future Plans
Buffalo Trace Distillery and UK Healthcare are committed to ensuring the Fathers of Frankfort program continues to benefit the youth of Frankfort.
Going forward, the two organizations plan to expand the program to include more life-enrichment activities and resources as well as increase the number of youth served.
