The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, or BTAC, is a rare invitation to some of the most sought-after whiskey in the world. Each year, a limited number of bottles are released in a variety of styles, ages, and proof levels. This collection of whiskeys is known for being flavorful, complex, and unique.
Released in Limited Quantities
This fall, Buffalo Trace Distillery released its 2023 Antique Collection in limited quantities. Consisting of four whiskeys – Stagg Jr., George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, and Eagle Rare 17 Year – each whiskey is a unique expression of Buffalo Trace’s craftsmanship.
Stagg Jr.
At the forefront of the collection is Stagg Jr., a robust 10 year old whiskey that is bottled at proof ranging from 54-68%. Stagg Jr. offers an intense flavor that includes notes of chocolate, baking spices, and dark fruit.
George T. Stagg
The next whiskey in the collection is George T. Stagg, a 15 year old whiskey bottled at proof levels ranging from 56-67%. This whiskey has a fuller body than Stagg Jr., and offers complex flavors such as spice, oak, vanilla, and dark fruit.
William Larue Weller
Third in the lineup is William Larue Weller, a 12 year old wheated bourbon bottled at proof levels ranging from 52-64%. This whiskey has a softer finish than Stagg and George T. Stagg, and offers more subtle notes of caramel, baking spices, and leather.
Eagle Rare 17 Year
Last but not least is Eagle Rare 17 Year, a unique and rare whiskey bottled at proof levels ranging from 49-63%. With notes of sweet oak, honey, and spice, this whiskey is a delight for whiskey lovers.
