Flag Hill Distillery Unveils New Hampshire’s First 10 Year Bourbon

Flag Hill Distillery Celebrates New Milestone with 10-Year-Old Bourbon

New Hampshire’s oldest distillery, Flag Hill Distillery, is proud to announce the release of the state’s first 10-year-old Bourbon Whiskey. It’s a milestone for Flag Hill and craft whiskey in the Granite State, marking the first time a distillery in New Hampshire has produced an aged whiskey of this caliber.

The Road to 10 Years

Flag Hill Distillery has been in production since 2004, making them the oldest artisan distillery in the state of New Hampshire. In that time, they’ve gone from producing a handful of small batch whiskeys to offering a wide range of spirits, from rye to single malt, and everything in between. For the past ten years, they’ve been carefully aging select barrels of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, laying the groundwork for the release of this 10-year-old Bourbon.

The Bourbon Itself

This 10-year-old Bourbon Whiskey is a complex whiskey, with a nose of caramel and burnt sugar, followed by hints of oak and vanilla on the palate. The finish is smooth and silky, with a slightly spicy finish from the rye in the mash bill. It’s bottled at cask strength, so no water is added, and it has a high ABV of 56.5%.

Barrel Aging at Flag Hill

Flag Hill has taken great care to develop their barrel-aging program over the years, storing their barrels in a climate-controlled environment in order to ensure the best possible conditions for maturation. The team has also invested in custom-made barrels to ensure the best possible flavor extraction from the wood.

Celebrating the Milestone

The team at Flag Hill is excited to be the first distillery in New Hampshire to offer a 10-year-old Bourbon Whiskey, and are inviting the public to celebrate this milestone with them. They’ll be hosting a one-day event on the distillery grounds on Saturday, April 21st, with live music, food, and of course samples of their 10-year-old Bourbon.

Where to Buy Flag Hill’s 10-Year-Old Bourbon

Flag Hill’s 10-Year-Old Bourbon Whiskey is available for purchase now at select retailers in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. It’s also available for purchase online directly from the distillery, or by visiting the distillery’s tasting room.

Flag Hill Distillery’s 10-year-old Bourbon Whiskey is a milestone for the distillery and craft whiskey in the Granite State. With its long aging process and carefully crafted barrels, it’s a spirit that should be savored and celebrated. Flag Hill suggests that it be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to unlock the full range of flavors
