The Limited Editions
The two limited editions are: the ‘Frank August’s Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky’ and the ‘Frank August’s Peated Single Malt Whisky’.
The Cask Strength whisky is a full-bodied whisky, aged for 12 years in ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in port casks. On the nose, it has sweet, malty notes, followed by prominent notes of dried fruit, oak, and caramel on the palate. On the finish, the whisky has a lingering smokiness that ends with a hint of dark chocolate.
The Peated whisky is a combination of malts that have been aged for 12 years in American oak, with some whisky being aged for an additional two years in ex-Sherry casks. On the nose, it has notes of peat smoke and brine, followed by sweet, smoky flavors of caramel and dark chocolate. On the finish, it has a long and rich smokiness that ends with a hint of dark fruit.
Availability
The two limited edition expressions will be available in select retail outlets in the UK and internationally, with an estimated release date of March 2021.
