Huling Station Trolley Stop Series Unveiled by Old Dominick

Old Dominick Distillery Releases Trolley Stop Series by Huling Station

Old Dominick Distillery is proud to announce the release of its highly anticipated Trolley Stop Series by Huling Station. Designed to give whiskey enthusiasts an opportunity to experience a taste of history, each release in the series pays homage to one of the first five stops of the original Myrtle Beach Electric Trolley line.

Background on Old Dominick Distillery

Old Dominick Distillery dates back to 1866 when Domenico Canale founded it in Memphis, Tennessee. The distillery went through several iterations over the years, but always remained in the hands of the Canale family. Now helmed by the family’s fifth generation, the company prides itself on creating high-quality spirits they believe honor and continue the Canale family’s legacy.

Trolley Stop Series Overview

The Trolley Stop Series celebrates the original Myrtle Beach Electric Trolley line that ran for almost 50 years in the 1900s. The first five stops were each made to honor the towns the original trolley made its stops in. The release of the Trolley Stop Series is made up of three distinct whiskies. There is an Aged Corn, a Four Grain Bourbon, and a Rye. All three are bottled at 46.5% and are non-chill filtered.

First Stop: Mcleod

The first release in the series is Mcleod Aged Corn. This whiskey is a tribute to the little farming communities just south of Myrtle Beach that the first trolley stop was named after. Mcleod Aged Corn is made from a mixture of corn, wheat, and rye. It is then aged in new American Oak barrels for a minimum of two years.

Second Stop: Awendaw

The second stop on the original trolley line, Awendaw, is honored in this release of Four Grain Bourbon. It is a blend of corn, wheat, rye, and barley. This whiskey is aged for a minimum of four years and has flavors of oak, caramel, and vanilla.

Third Stop: McCutcheon

McCutcheon Rye is a tribute to the small, rural town of McCutcheon, which was the third stop on the original trolley line. This whiskey is made up of 95% rye and 5% barley and is aged for at least three years in the same new American Oak barrels used for the Mcleod and Awendaw whiskeys. McCutcheon Rye offers a smooth taste with well-rounded flavors of oak, spice, and caramel.

Availability

The Three Stop Trolley Stop Series by Huling Station is now available starting in September 2020. Each bottle in the series will only be available in the Southern states of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas. However, customers can also purchase these bottles online from select retailers.

Old Dominick is excited to reach whiskey aficionados from all over to help tell the story of the original trolley line and the impact it had on the towns along its route. In addition, the company also hopes to shed light on how the trolley system positively affected the communities that were part of the original line. This release is sure to be a collector’s item that is sure to be appreciated by all
