Jack Daniel’s Adds Barrel Proof Rye to Single Barrel Collection

Jack Daniel’s Launches Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye Whiskey

Jack Daniel’s, the renowned Tennessee Whiskey maker, proudly announces the launch of its newest expression, Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye Whiskey. This iteration of Single Barrel is the first rye whiskey to become a permanent part of the Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Collection. This whiskey was selected by the Master Distiller himself, Trey Zoeller, at 125 proof and made with a 70/15/15 blend of rye, corn, and malted barley—a blend inspired by an old-style mash bill.

Barrel Selection

The selection of this unique whiskey was done by hand. Jack Daniel’s team of expert whiskey tasters sampled hundreds of barrels in order to find the very best. Afterward, the selected barrels were set aside and bottled without dilution. The result is a whiskey that has an undeniable strength, with robust rye spice and an eye-opening complexity.

Tasting Characteristics

Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye has a bold and robust flavor profile with aromas of dried citrus and orange peel, followed by distinct notes of allspice, toffee, and rye grain. The palate reveals a sweet, smoky flavor offering hints of clove and an unmistakable hint of caramel. The finish brings a biting rye spice that complements the incredibly smooth taste of the whiskey.

Flavor Profile

The addition of Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye to Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Collection adds an entirely new flavor profile into the mix. This celebrates the flexibility of the Jack Daniel’s recipe, as well as the diversity of the Single Barrel Collection. The unique and hard to replicate flavor of the rye whiskey will undoubtedly have a special place in the Single Barrel Collection’s flavor family.

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Collection

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Collection is a showcase of their deep commitment to crafting unique and outstanding whiskeys. Each Single Barrel expression is carefully crafted from a single barrel whose flavor profile stands out from the rest. Every barrel is bottled at its natural color, proof, and clarity, and are labeled with the corresponding flavor profile.

The addition of SBBP Rye is an exciting addition to the existing portfolio of Single Barrel whiskeys. The long-anticipated addition to the Collection is now available in select stores across the US.
