Old Dominick Unveils Straight and Bottled-in-Bond Tennessee Whiskey

Old Dominick Distillery Launches New Tennessee Whiskeys

Old Dominick Distillery, a craft distiller from Memphis, Tennessee, has announced two new Tennessee whiskeys: a Straight Tennessee Whiskey and a Bottled-in-Bond Tennessee Whiskey. The two whiskeys are set to be released in late summer 2019.

Old Dominick’s Straight Tennessee Whiskey

Old Dominick Distillery’s Straight Tennessee Whiskey is crafted using an original family recipe, and is made with an 80% corn, 20% rye mashbill. The spirit is distilled in copper pot stills, aged for four years in American White Oak barrels, and then non-chill filtered and bottled at 94 proof.

The whiskey has aromas of cinnamon, honey, and oak, with flavors of vanilla, caramel, and toasty oak. It finishes with a hint of spice and a warm smoky taste that’s indicative of Tennessee whiskey.

The Bottled-in-Bond Tennessee Whiskey is the first of its kind, making Old Dominick the first craft distillery to create a Bottled-in-Bond Tennessee Whiskey. The whiskey is made from an original family recipe containing 80% corn, 10% malted barley, and 10% rye, that is then aged for four years in American White Oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof.

The whiskey has a light golden color, and aromas of figs, honey, and oak. On the palate, it has flavors of honey, caramel, toasty oak, and a hint of spice. It finishes with a subtle sweetness and an easy, no-burn finish, characteristic of Tennessee whiskey.

Availability and Pricing

Old Dominick’s Straight Tennessee Whiskey and Bottled-in-Bond Tennessee Whiskey are slated to be released in late summer 2019. Both whiskeys will be available in 750ml bottles, although pricing has yet to be announced.

The Straight Tennessee Whiskey and Bottled-in-Bond Tennessee Whiskey are two of several new products that Old Dominick Distillery has planned for 2019. The craft distiller has made a name for itself in the spirits world, and the launch of these two new whiskeys is sure to please whiskey fans.
