Michigan’s Traverse City Whiskey Co is bringing a small-batch, limited-release cherry whiskey into regional distribution outside of Michigan. Traverse City Whiskey Co is now offering their Cherry Barrel Proof Whiskey beyond the state of Michigan.

Cherry Barrel Proof Whiskey: A Unique Blend

The Cherry Barrel Proof Whiskey is described as a unique blend of barrel-aged, small-batch whiskey made with tart Montmorency cherries from the Traverse City region. The whiskey is aged in virgin charred-white oak barrels for 18-24 months and then bottled at barrel proof.

Perfect for Cocktails or Sipping

The Troy Lipshitz, Traverse City Whiskey Co president said in a statement that the Cherry Barrel Proof whiskey “is perfect for sipping with a little water or in a classic cocktail like an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan.” The cherry whiskey is said to offer up a flavor profile that is fruity, yet bright.

Limited Release Availability

Traverse City Whiskey Co’s Cherry Barrel Proof Whiskey is available in limited release at specialty liquor stores as well as online retailers including Binny’s and Hi-Time Wine Cellars. It retails at $99 for a 750 ml bottle.

The Traverse City Whiskey Co.

Traverse City Whiskey Co. was founded by brothers Brad and Brett Bakotic in 2013 with the mission of using locally sourced, quality ingredients to revive the art of Michigan craft distilling. The team distills whiskey from grain to glass in downtown Traverse City as well as breaks down over 100,000 pounds of regional, local cherries for their small batch cherry spirits. Traverse City Whiskey Co products are now sold across Michigan, and now even further beyond.
