Woodford Reserve Unveils Toasted Oak Four Grain in New Distillery Series

Woodford Reserve releases new Distillery Series: Toasted Oak Four Grain

Woodford Reserve, one of the country’s leading producers of premium bourbons, has released a new series of bourbons under its Distillery Series—the Toasted Oak Four Grain Bourbons.

Woodford Reserve tradition of innovation

Woodford Reserve has a tradition of innovation when it comes to their product offerings. This spirit is no exception, with its unique blend of select grain, aging in new American Oak barrels and finished with a toasted oak infusion that delivers a full range of balanced oak and spice notes.

A full range of oak and spice notes

The Toasted Oak Four Grain Bourbons feature a unique combination of four different grains—corn, rye, malted barley and wheat—that are meticulously sourced and blended, then aged in new American Oak barrels. The aging process is culminated with a toasted oak infusion that delivers a full range of balanced oak and spice flavors for a truly unique drinking experience.

New processes for smooth drinking experience

Woodford Reserve is also introducing a number of new processes to the distilling and aging process for these bourbons. They start with a “mellowing” process which slightly dries the grain before its roasted, creating a smoother drinking experience. Additionally, the aging process takes place in a specially constructed temperature-controlled aging cellar, allowing the spirit to develop its flavor profile at an optimal rate.

Four unique expressions

The Toasted Oak Four Grain series consists of four distinct expressions—The Classic, The Double Oaked, The Reserve and the Spice. Each expression has its own unique set of flavors and notes. The Classic has bold oak and spice flavors, The Double Oaked adds smooth vanilla and dark cherry undertones, The Reserve is a higher proof expression with a caramel finish, and The Spice expression combines cinnamon and allspice flavors.

Limited edition release

Woodford Reserve is releasing these bourbons as part of a limited edition series, so make sure to stock up while you have the chance. The Toasted Oak Four Grain Bourbons are currently available in select U.S. liquor stores, so pick up a bottle or two and experience the full range of oak and spice flavors that Woodford Reserve has to offer
