Sazerac 18 Year Kentucky Straight Rye whiskey is one of the few double digit aged ryes available on the market today. It is a classic steel tank batch aroma whiskey, aged to around ninety proof, with a great balance and light aged oak notes. In this review, I will discuss the unique nose, palate, finish, and overall value of this excellent whiskey.

Nose

Sazerac 18 Year has an aroma that blends candy cane, fresh mint, rye spice, dried apricot, and classic steel tank batch notes. This is a unique and pleasant aroma that I absolutely love.

Palate

This whiskey has an interesting taste profile. Rye spice, vegetative notes, straw, rye grain, mild summer fruits, light aged oak, and a well-balanced palate make this whiskey a real treat to drink.
