Filmland Spirits Introduces First Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Cask Strength Rye Expression

Filmland Spirits, a Kentucky-based whiskey distillery, is proud to announce the launch of its first Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Cask Strength Rye Expression. Their commitment to craftsmanship and dedication to the tradition of American whiskey is evident in this pivotal release.

Filmland Story

Located in Louisville, Kentucky, Filmland Spirits was founded in 2019 with the goal of creating high-quality, small-batch whiskeys that embody the rich history of American whiskey. Crafted from locally-sourced ingredients, each expression is carefully aged in their warehouse and blended by their recruited team of master distillers.

A Unique Process

The production process for this new expression is meticulous and unique. To start, the bourbon is distilled from a mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, and it is carefully aged for at least two and a half years in new, charred American white oak barrels. After aging, the bourbon is blended with carefully-selected whiskeys to create a unique flavor profile.

The cask strength rye, on the other hand, is created from a mash of rye and malted barley and aged for at least two and a half years in charred, new American white oak barrels. Unlike the bourbon, no additional whiskies are blended into the rye – making it a truly “cask strength” rye whiskey.

One-of-a-Kind Taste

Both expressions boast a unique, one-of-a-kind flavor. The Kentucky Straight Bourbon has a bold, spicy flavor with notes of oak, black cherry, and cinnamon, while the Cask Strength Rye has a hint of sweetness with notes of dark chocolate, clove, and anise.

Both are bottled at the optimal proof to bring out the full flavor notes and preserve the character and complexity of each expression. The bourbon is bottled at 95.5 proof, while the cask strength rye is bottled at 98.9 proof.

Final Thoughts

Filmland Spirits’ first Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Cask Strength Rye Expression are a true reflection of the American whiskey tradition. Each expression is carefully crafted with an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. It’s no surprise that these two whiskeys are unique and one-of-a-kind.

So, if you’re looking for a unique and truly American whiskey experience – look no further than Filmland Spirits’ first Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Cask Strength Rye Expression
