Bardstown Origin Series Bourbon: An Age Stated Easy-to-Enjoy Bourbon for Less than $50
Bardstown Bourbon Company’s Origin Series is a great value whiskey, offering a 100% estate-distilled whiskey for a reasonable price. In this review I’ll be giving my tasting notes on its nose, palate, finish, and overall quality.
The nose of the Origin Series Bourbon has a great balance of sweet, tart, and spicy aromas. I get notes of vanilla cream, bright oak, summer fruits, citrus peel, light white peppercorn, caramel, stone fruit, and a good balance of them all.
The palate of this bourbon is quite creamy and sweet, with prominent peach notes followed by light rye spice, baking spices, and a hint of pie crust. As you sip, the sweetness becomes more prominent as it’s accented by gentle waves of spice.
The finish of the Origin Series Bourbon is leathery and warm, with pronounced rye spice, dry oak, peppercorn mix, touches of vanilla sweetness, and a lasting warmth.
What sets this bourbon apart from other whiskeys on the market is that it offers an age statement for a very reasonable price. It’s rare to find high-quality whiskeys at this price point, and the Origin Series Bourbon ensures a consistent vanilla sweetness and gentle waves of spice that make for an experience that is hard to come by at this price range.
At only $50 for a 750ml bottle, Bardstown Origin Series Bourbon offers the perfect avenue to experience a premium-quality distilled, aged bourbon. It’s the perfect easy-to-enjoy, age-stated bourbon for enjoying year-round.
Bardstown Origin Series Bourbon offers consumers exactly what they’re looking for in a reasonably priced bourbon. It’s a balanced sip with identifiable flavor notes, bright, fruity aromas, hints of oak and spice, and a pleasant lingering warmth. An excellent first showing by Bardstown with this bourbon and a great buy for just $50
